God is always good & always faithful.
Hey friends! I’m so excited to talk to you about one of my absolute favorite topics today, the goodness and faithfulness of God. By the way, I’m gonna write a book on this topic one day so consider this a sneak peek!
The reason I’m so passionate about this topic is because I’ve seen it in my life over and over again. Knowing and confessing this has kept me going in my highest and lowest points. This one phrase of truth has changed my life and it’s this:
God is ALWAYS good and ALWAYS faithful.
I have said that while sobbing alone in my car feeling like everything’s falling apart, and I’ve also said it rejoicing in my greatest moments. Why? Because it’s truth, it reigns forever and it doesn’t change. Romans 8:28 says “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, and have been called according to His purpose.” This gives me such assurance and peace in the difficult times, knowing that if something in my life isn’t good right now, God will make it good. My job is simply to love Him and be obedient to what He tells me to do. It’s usually hard to see at the time, but I can look back on every moment in my life, even when I couldn’t see it, when I didn’t understand, when I didn’t think I’d make it, it all worked for good. I encourage you to do the same, look back on your life and thank God for all of His goodness and faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:23 says “…great and beyond measure is your faithfulness.” He is SO faithful. Faithful is defined as “loyal and steadfast”, I believe that many times it’s hard for us to believe in the complete faithfulness of God because we have all been through moments where someone was not faithful or loyal to us. Friend let me tell you, people break promises, God doesn’t. God will NEVER break a promise to you. He wants better for you than you even want for yourself, He does EXCEEDINGLY and ABUNDANTLY all that we can ask, think, or imagine according to Ephesians 3:20. You can trust Him.
You can apply this to every area of your life: physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and financially, God is always good and always faithful. No matter what you’re going through you can declare this. It is the character of God, it’s who He is. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He does not change (Malachi 3:6). He is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). To know this, we must know Him. He is your best friend, your Father, the only one who will NEVER break a promise. He is always good and always faithful.
