Your problem is not bigger than God.
Look up at the sky, think of the vastness of the universe, picture how grand and amazing Heaven is. God created everything. Now think about your problem, doesn’t seem so big anymore does it? I’ve had to remind myself this lately, the God of all creation, the God that holds all in His hands, the God in whom nothing is impossible is on your side. He is fighting for you. He wants better for you than you could even want for yourself. Trust me, I know you may be going through a rough season, a seemingly impossible situation, and challenges that seem to be stacking…let me remind you friend, your problem is not bigger than God. In fact, I even encourage you to say that out loud right now, “God is greater than any situation that I may face”.
When the battle seems lost, the challenge seems greater, and the problem seems bigger, take a page from the life of David. David was a young, small (in stature), Shepard who decided to take on a pretty big challenge in fighting Goliath, you can read the whole story in 1 Samuel 17. Now I understand, unlike David you likely didn’t choose to be in the situation but we can learn something here. Goliath was bigger and more skilled than David, but David knew who was with him. In this chapter everyone was telling David not to fight because he was “only a boy (verse 33)” but he trusted that “the Lord who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine! (verse 37)”.
It’s not about the size of the problem, it’s knowing the power of our God and who He is!
I’ve found in my own life that when going through something, what brings fear/anxiety/worry is taking my eyes off of Jesus and focusing them more on the problem, now don’t get me wrong, I know that these times can be extremely challenging, but He wants to take us higher! Similar to when you’re on a plane, everything that would normally seem big (even mountains), seem so small! That is the perspective He wants us to have. To see from the view of Heaven, where everything is taken care of (EVEN your situation), we are seated with Him in Heavenly places after all. In Matthew 14 the disciples are on a boat caught in a storm, they were terrified and Jesus asked Peter to step out of the boat and walk on the water (no biggie, right?!), and he was doing fine until “he saw the strong wind and waves, he was terrified and began to sink”. Sound familiar?! I can say I’ve done this a time or two…however, once I put my eyes back on Jesus there is peace and I’m like “why didn’t I do this sooner?!” In Him we have everything. He holds the whole universe in His hands, and my friend, that includes you.
So today I want you to take that situation and ask God what He thinks about it, to show you from His perspective, I guarantee it will look MUCH different than yours. He already has the solution to your situation, the answer to your question, and He wants better for you than you could ever want for yourself. He is trustworthy, good, and faithful always.
Who is it that travels back and forth
from the heavenly realm to the earth?
Who controls the wind as it blows and holds it in his fists?
Who tucks the rain into the cloak of his clouds?
Who stretches out the skyline from one vista to the other?
What is his name?
And what is the name of his Son?
Who can tell me?
5 Every promise from the faithful God
is pure and proves to be true.
He is a wraparound shield of protection for all his lovers
who run to hide in him.
Proverbs 30:4-5 (TPT)
